Meerut is the city of Uttar Pradesh and the district of Uttar Pradesh. It is an ancient and historical city of Uttar

 Pradesh in India. Distance from New Delhi is about seventy kilometers and the forming part of the National Capital

Region. The second-largest city in the National Capital region is MeerutIt is 430km west from the capital of Lucknow. It is also known as

Ravana's Sasural. After  Noida and Ghaziabad, Meerut is the fastest developing city of Uttar Pradesh. The rank of Meerut

is 4th in terms of population in Uttar Pradesh. It is famous for its sports goods, scissors, and Kazak.

Meerut has also the biggest army garrisons in Uttar Pradesh. Meerut has also the sports capital of India and 3500 hectares

of industrial land. Meerut is a metropolitan city, it is the biggest city after NCR and New Delhi. The nearest airport to Meerut is

 Indira Gandhi international airport and it is 80 km away. Meerut is also connected with NCR, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad,

HapurDelhi, Modinagar, Saharanpur, Haridwar,. Meerut is also an education hub of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Meerut is popularly known as "the sport city of India".

1.Augharanath Temple


The Augharnath Temple is in the city of Meerut.It is  also known as the Kali Paltan Mandir,

 it is the oldest Shiva temple of Meerut . The Shiva

 Linga in this temple is the popular attraction of the devotees of Lord Shiva.

The Augharanath Temple is situated very close to the cantonment area in Meerut.

In 2001,a 4.5 kg gold-plated  kalasha was also installed in the temple.

2.Shapir


Shapir is a Dargah of Muslims in Meerut. It is constructed during 

Mughal Era by the queen, Noor Jahan. It was built in 1628 to give the honor of  a local Muslim ,

Hazrat Shahpeer and who is said to be the physician/advisor to the queen and the

 teacher of the Emperor Jahangir.

The garden and adjacent pillars makes darga an unique location in the city. 

The shapir dargah is built by stark red stones that present a beautiful view in the evening sky. 

During the month of Ramadan, large number of people gather here for holding prayers 

on important days.

3.Vidur ka Tila












vidur ka tila is situated in Meerut.vidur is popular for the locals of wits and sound

 advice.It is located on the banks of the serena river,

this best picnic spot for your family.The sunset view of

 vidur tila is amazing.
